Visitors are invited to explore the 1½-mile hiking trail now open at the Roberts Chapel Conservation Area near Butner, Creedmoor, and Stem. The hiking trail winds through scenic woods and across several small streams. Message boards with property rules, maps, and trail guides are found at the trailhead parking area. Continue reading

Thanks to a partnership with the NC National Guard and National Guard Bureau, TRLC has acquired 1,295 acres within the one-mile buffer of Camp Butner since 2017. Undeveloped land around the base is good both for the military and drinking water. Continue reading
