A
Message from our Board President:
Since
2000, we have worked throughout our community to protect almost
17,000 acres of land for drinking water, wildlife, farming,
hunting and enjoying nature.
Our
donors play a critical role in the success of our work. Please
make a tax-deductible charitable contribution today to help
us to preserve even more land as a natural legacy to leave
to future generations.
Thank
you for helping us save and steward these lands we love!
Sincerely,

Ernie Averett
President

a Volunteer for Tar River Land Conservancy
Do
you have a special skill or area of interest or just
want to lend a helping hand? Please consider volunteering
for Tar River Land Conservancy. Volunteer to accompany
staff on visits to land protected by conservation
easements. Lead outings for school groups and TRLC
supporters. Plan events. Help organize critical office
records. Help prepare mailings. Whether you can volunteer
for one afternoon or a few times a month, your time
and energy will be an essential component of TRLC’s
success. If you can help, please contact us at info@tarriver.org
or call (919) 496-5902.

Alvin Braswell,
TRLC volunteer, takes an inventory of wildlife on the
Kemp property. Donated to TRLC in 2008, the Kemp property
is located in Franklin County on the Tar River, designated
as nationally significant by the North Carolina Natural
Heritage Program. Volunteer your time to help protect
special places like the Kemp property.
