Join Tar River Land Conservancy (TRLC) for a 1½-mile fall hike on the Gantt Tract, an 842-acre property acquired by TRLC in December 2017.  The hike will be led by biologist Alvin Braswell, retired from the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences, and Derek Halberg, TRLC’s Executive Director.

The hike will feature Dickens Creek, a scenic stream that flows into Lake Holt soon after exiting the Gantt Tract.

The hike will be limited to 40 individuals and pre-registration is required.  The hike is rated as “moderate” since it will include steep hills.  Please wear sturdy shoes and field clothing suitable for walking off-trail.  We request that dogs, other than registered service animals, not be brought to the event.
