Lake Gaston
Hubquarter Project
Approximately 240 acres, Lake Gaston, Warren County
With generous support from the residents of West Winds
Subdivision and Hubquarter Partnership, TRLC now owns
approximately 240 acres on Lake Gaston, laying the groundwork
for increased conservation efforts in Warren County.
The end result secures water quality, wildlife habitat
and scenic beauty on this portion of the lake.

Davis
Easement
Approximately 12 acres, Warren County
Drennen and Shirley Davis placed a permanent conservation
easement on their property along Shocco Creek in Warren
County. The easement will permanently protect water
quality and wildlife habitat along Shocco Creek and
adds to the network of land TRLC has protected in this
area.

Ecosystem Enhancement Program.

Green Easement
Approximately 15.5 acres, Fishing Creek, Warren County
Mary Green placed a conservation easement on her property
along Fishing Creek in May 2005. The site consists of
upland hardwood forest, mesic hillslope hardwood forest,
bottomland hardwood forest, and Piedmont swamp forest.
This project was made possible by the NC
Ecosystem Enhancement Program.

Capps Enterprises, Inc. Easement
Approximately 19 acres, Fork Township, Warren County
In March 2005, Lester Capps Enterprises, Inc. placed
a permanent conservation easement along Shocco Creek.
The easement fronts 3,013 feet of the creek, a significant
natural area which contains extensive populations of
several rare and endangered aquatic species. The forest
of the easement area is a mature and undisturbed hardwood
forest boasting high biodiversity and great scenic beauty.

Capps Investments, Inc. Easement
Approximately 36.8 acres, Fork Township, Warren County
In March 2005, Lynn Capps Investments, Inc. placed
a permanent riparian buffer easement of a tract of land
in Warren County. The easement protects approximately
4,790 feet of Fishing Creek, a perennial stream, and
6.5 acres of wetland. This easement is important for
protecting the water quality of Fishing Creek, which
supports some of the best populations of several rare
and endangered aquatic species. |

Paper, Inc. Easement
Approximately 179 acres, Judkins Township, Warren County
International Paper, Inc. and Sustainable Forests,
LLC placed a conservation easement on 179 acres in November
of 2005. This easement provides extensive riparian buffers
along 13,800 feet of Little Fishing Creek, 800 feet
Ben’s Creek and approximately 4.300 feet of four
unnamed tributaries.

Easement
Approximately 44.5 acres, Fork Township, Warren County
James and Martha Speed placed a conservation easement
on 44.5 acres in February of 2006. This easement provides
extensive riparian buffers along 5,000 feet of Little
Shocco Creek, 1,200 feet an unnamed perennial stream.
