Burnside Property

Approximately 407 acres, Williamsboro Township, Vance County

George and Agnes Harvin donated a conservation easement in December 2005 on their historic farm in Vance County. The easement protects several unnamed tributaries within the Roanoke River Basin as well as several wetlands. The property is mostly forested with the remainder in wildlife openings, agricultural fields, ponds and farm-related structures. In addition to the conservation easement held by TRLC, the Harvins have placed approximately 4 acres of the property, which includes a historic home and other historic structures, under a Historic Preservation Easement with Preservation North Carolina (PNC).
