Moye Farm
Easement
Approximately 40 acres, Ormands Township, Greene
County.
Tar River Land Conservancy holds a restoration conservation
easement on the L.A. Moye Farm in Greene County, one and a
half miles south of Scuffleton. The easement permanently protects
this tract of land while maintaining, restoring, enhancing
and creating wetland and riparian buffers along a tributary
of Contentnea Creek that will contribute to the protection
and improvement of water quality, flood prevention, fisheries,
aquatic habitat, wildlife habitat and recreational opportunities.
Moye Farm II
TRLC added an additional 50 acres to the existing conservation
easement on the L.A. Moye Farm in Greene County in 2004.
